Where Are We Now?

Where are we now?

As of right now we are still ministering to the Homeless as often as I am able to get supplies together. In the summer of 2023 I would usually only go out with food. Sandwiches, water, granola bars, fruit snacks and oranges. However I met a man at the restaurant that I partnered with to make sandwiches. He told me that his small group was putting stuff together to give to me to pass out. I had no idea at the time what they were putting together but it would change my whole mindset about ministering to the homeless. After a week or two of them collecting stuff they gave me the greatest care package for ministering to the homeless. It has socks, toothbrushes, deodorant, wipes, shoes everything that someone would need. That day I went into Phoenix with 5 people from GCU and it was probably the most fruitful it had ever been.

The reason it was so different was because of 2 things that were done differently. The first was we weren't just handing out something that would be gone for a day. They were now able to use the stuff we were providing for days to come. The 2nd thing that happened was deeper conversations. The problem I had always faced was I mostly had been going by myself or with maybe 1 other person. At times we would enter a hotspot and just get swarmed with handing stuff out to everyone without even getting to talk to them, pray for them, or even tell them about Jesus. However, with 5 people it was possible. The conversations we were having were so fruitful and we were praying for so many people. That was the new goal from that point on. So now when we go to minister we bring bibles, socks, shower wipes, toothbrushes, blankets, shoes, food, water, any donations we collect and any thing we are able to buy.

Through all this change over the past few months I have heard some great testimony's. I have seen change in people lives. I have had some scary and weird encounters and I have had many people come along with me who are so willing and loving to the homeless. But as of right now we are entering into a busy season and I hope and pray that we are just able to do Gods will and be vessels of his love and hope.
